CHANGE OF MEMBRANES DESSALATOR IN MANDELIEU
Replacement of the membranes of a Dessalator desalinizer on a boat Beneteau 55 at the port of La Rague
Maintenance of a desalinizer is essential to ensure quality fresh water and maintain on-board autonomy. Recently, we replaced the membranes of a desalinizer of the brand Dessalator on a sailboat Beneteau 55, moored to Mandelion. This intervention is a routine maintenance, indispensable to maintain the quality of the fresh water produced. Discover the steps of this operation.
Why replace the membranes of a desalinizer?
The membranes of a desalinizer wear over time and use, resulting in a decrease in yield and a deterioration in the quality of the water produced. Regular maintenance and periodic replacement are therefore essential for:
- Maintain optimal freshwater production,
- Maintaining the sustainability of the system,
- Reduce desalinator energy consumption.
Steps of the Rague Port Replacement
Diagnosis and preparation of the intervention.
Before any intervention, we performed a diagnostic of the desalinizer to check the general condition. We then selected membranes Dessalator adapted to the model installed on this Beneteau 55.
Replacement of membranes and tests.
Our Agent Dessalator has carried out the dismantling of the old membranes, cleaning of the ducts and installation of the new membranes. Once in place, several tests were carried out to ensure the proper functioning of the equipment and the quality of the water produced.
Audit and maintenance advice.
After validation of the proper functioning of the system, we provided the yacht owner with the recommendations for the use, maintenance and wintering of the Dessalator.
