Energy optimisation Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 379 with Victron and lithium batteries
Navigating with a reliable 220V power supply is a major asset for comfort on board. The owner of this Sun Odyssey 379, moored at port of Santa Lucia to Saint-Raphael, wanted to upgrade its electrical system in order to optimize its autonomy on board. After one Energy diagnosis complete, we have made an electric refit on this sailing boat Jeanneau du Var. Selected solutions are signed Victron.
Electrical upgrade: upgrade of battery bank and installation of 220V
Replacement of battery bank with lithium technology.
To optimize performance and reduce weight on board, we have replaced the old lead battery bank with lithium batteries. Among other things, the latter offer a longer life and higher efficiency, ensuring more efficient energy management.
Installation of a complete Victron system.
To ensure reliable 220V power supply, we have integrated several Victron equipment:
- MultiPlus II Victron : high-performance converter-charger allowing to supply 220V and recharge batteries.
- BMV Victron : battery monitor providing accurate state of charge monitoring to optimize energy consumption.
- Orion-Tr Smart charger : DC/DC charger to recharge lithium batteries via motor alternator, ensuring efficient charging in navigation.
- Preparation for installation of a solar system : anticipation of the addition of solar panels for even greater energy autonomy.
Testing and validation: a secure and efficient installation
A series of tests have been carried out to verify the proper functioning of the entire electrical system, ensuring a reliable installation that complies with the owner's requirements.
